Description:

AR438 is a spacer which moves the thermostat up one inch to provide room for a fuel injection TX3 type coolant temp sensor. The new EFI kits from FAST and Holley require a TX3 coolant temp sensor but factory water pump housings do not have an extra 3/8 NPT port available. This spacer provides an offset location so the coolant sensor will not interfere with the operation of the thermostat. The sensor location is tapped for 3/8 NPT and the bottom face of the spacer has an o-ring so no gasket is required. The top surface accepts a Mopar style thermostat and must be used with a stock replacement gasket.

Plug, dipstick

Description:

AR279 – Dipstick plug.  Reproduction of the plug used on big block truck engines when the dipstick was relocated to the oil pan.  This plug is also handy for dry sump engines, or engines where the dipstick is relocated to another location.  Plug is made from aluminum and is a press fit into the existing hole.  If necessary, ream the dipstick hole in the block with a 0.368 diameter drill (standard U size drill).

Cam button assembly.  Kit includes a two piece cam button complete with a Torrington bearing assembly.  The AR281 cam button is designed to fit a Cloyes Hex-a-just timing chain and the AR224 billet timing chain cover.  Button has an overall length of 0.645.  Outer diameter of the button is 0.749 inches and it should be a light tap fit into any of the standard 3 bolt timing chain sprockets.  The AR224 billet timing chain cover comes with an access plate which lets the engine builder measure camshaft endplay directly.

BB Timing Chain Cover

Description:

Billet timing chain cover with a removable center.  The removable center allows a person to inspect the cam drive and adjust it if they are using an adjustable top gear.  If the Cloyes Hex-A-Just 9-3125A timing set is used, then the cam timing can be adjusted with the timing cover installed. The center plate is sealed with double o-rings for leak free operation and it is rigid enough to control camshaft endplay. O-rings are standard Parker 2-041 and 2-044 size for easy replacement.  The front of the cover is machined to accept a stock oil seal as well as the stock oil slinger.  An adjustable TDC pointer is included.  This cover fits under aluminum water pump housings without the need for any spacers and will work with an electric water pump.  The ATI damper 917122E will clear this cover as will OEM dampers and the standard dampers from BHJ and Fluidampr. The oil seal installs from the front and can be replaced without removing the timing cover from the engine.  These billet covers work with the AR281 cam button, the AR206 crank trigger bracket, the AR207 alternator bracket kit, and it fits all of the AR Engineering motor plates.
